    QUICK CHOICE

After a long day on the golf course, I stopped in at Hooter's to see some friends and have some hot Wings and ice tea. After being there for a while, one of my friends asked me which waitress I would like to be stuck in an elevator with. I told them "The one who knows how to fix elevators". I'm...

    ammo/guns investment

If someone puts a gun to your head and says give me your guns, gold, Etc. you likely will open your safe. You at least have to go through the courthouse to transfer property.

    Bonded Ivory Grips

I have an older set on a 4" Model 28. The bonded ivory has aged, and has a much better "look" than when new. I like the grips.

    New BFF

Don't matter really what breed. Looks GREAT. Kinda reminds me of Mark Twain' "A Dogs Tale" --Great story. Starts out something like "My mother was a Collie and my father was a Saint Bernard, but I am a Presbyterian" Good read! Just realize that Sam Clements was very liberal, and a superb...

    YARD SALE OVER LAST WEEKEND

Seems like the 8" are certainly in less demand than the shorter barrels, but this had a bit less recoil than a 4" with the same load. It was fun to shoot. The ladies that were running the yard sale had a lot of other sporting equipment, but seemed to look at this gun as a viper, and would not...

    YARD SALE OVER LAST WEEKEND

Not that I frequent yard sales, -however driving by, it looked like there was some ancient reloading equipment. There was, but also an 8" 27-2. Looking at the little round price sticker, I nearly snickered out loud. I'm seldom bothered by my conscience. Being just a touch South of 80, there's...

    TARGET TRIGGER AND HAMMER INSTALL

Thank you for that excellent info. After I posted, I called a recommended gunsmith in Tucson. He suggested just bring one or two in at a time because parts could be an issue. I should have made the call before posting -duh-. His labor cost is very reasonable, and he seems very knowledgeable...

    TARGET TRIGGER AND HAMMER INSTALL

Not a collector, nor even much of an accumulator; But I do have about a dozen N frames that I want to put target trigger and hammer on. Yes, I suppose it is very cost extensive, but so be it. The smooth target trigger is a must, and a target hammer is desirable. I already have some idea about...

    POWDER WEIGHT VS VOLUME

Not sure why there always has to be a smart ***. I am weighing and checking volume of Winchester 231. You go ahead and weigh your pound feathers and lead.

    POWDER WEIGHT VS VOLUME

Thank you all for your answers! Being never in a rush, I always weigh every charge even when I use the Lee disks. After I finish a batch, I weigh every completed cartridge, which at least will tell me if there is a double charge, or if I missed one. Thanks again.

    POWDER WEIGHT VS VOLUME

Perhaps this is an old and simple question, but I am an old and simple man; I have several powder measures, both by volume and by weight. Using a small test tube from my high school chemistry set, I find that a powder of the same exact weight is not always the same exact volume, and obviously...

copper plated vs not copper plated bullets

I'll be the first to admit I am not a rocket scientist, and also just don't happen to have a chronograph or the inclination to get one. Just wondered if there is published data on the subject, but thank you for the suggestion.

copper plated vs not copper plated bullets

For years I have reloaded 38 Sp. FN lead bullets over 4 Gr. of 231 for target shooting. Worked good, likely ran at least 3,000 rounds through my 38s and 357s. Just bought 500 same bullets copper plated. Can't find a published load, am not much in experimenting with reloading. Anyone know where...
