I'm glad to see this "necropost" haha! I went back and looked, and I paid $580 for mine, with the box, back in 2009, from the last gun store in San Francisco - High Bridge Arms. Who knows what it's go for now (the gun or the store).

No question that it is harder to find "deals" at gun shows these days. But they are there, you just have to scratch a little harder to find them. In general, I buy my Colts from S&W specialists, and I buy my S&W's from Colt specialists. And I check out anything in blued steel that retail FFL...
