Remington versus Mossberg

New to reloading 308
What rifle are you trying to fire the .308 ammo in? From your terminology, it seems to be a semi-auto. Many semi-autos have little camping power in the bolt closing, and if a case is just a little large, the bolt may look closed, even when it is not quite closed. I have several .308 rifles... -

429421 over 7.5gr WW231
I had not shot my 29-2 in some time, so I decided to use it in Bowling Pin matches, something I shoot regularly. I cast a lot of Lyman 429421 bullets some while ago and lubed them with NRA formula lube. I seated the bullet over 7.5gr of Winchester 231 powder with a normal CCI LP primer in .44...
