For the past several years I have carried a spare mag for my Sig P-365 XL in this. It's a generic leather belt mag pouch I found on Ebay for about $15. I cut off the belt loop and carry it in my left rear pocket like a billfold.
It usually rides in my Wrangler jeans but I've found it works...
My friend and Lubbock PD officer Matt Armbruster both descended from Crockett's youngest son, Kenneth. The gun went to his oldest son, Aubrey, and was passed on to his son.
I'm trying to help a friend locate the 44 S&W his grandfather was carrying when he was killed in the line of duty.
I suspect some on the forum have heard of Crockett Long, an agent with the Oklahoma Bureau of Investigation, best known for his dogged pursuit of Charles "Pretty Boy" Floyd.

Vance Sipe Judson was a civil engineer who was working for the City of Dallas as "Chief Draftsman" in 1930.
However, his WWII draft registration card shows his employer to be "City of Dallas, Police Dept." Since he was 51 years old at the time and I don't find him on any of the department's...
If it helps any, I have one close to yours (S118141) that shipped to the Strauss Frank Co. in San Antonio Sept. 13, 1954.

This 2" Model 10-5 shipped to the Dallas Police Department in February 1974 and was issued to a sergeant in the Narcotics Division.
When the department transitioned to semi-autos in 1989, he was allowed to buy it for $25 and was overjoyed to sell it to me for $75...I was pretty happy also.
For the past few years I've carried my P365XL in this Tucker & Byrd OWB holster, all day, every day.
It works so well and is so comfortable, I've stopped looking for anything better.
Samuel Addison Wolfe, age 86, died in St. Joseph, MO 30Dec1938. If that fits with the ship date of your outdoorsman, there is a lot more available on him.
I bought one just like it in 1969 when ATF was letting Browning put together and sell their parts on hand before the GCA '68 went into effect. I carried it off-duty for several years before it got away from me.
Fortunately, I inherited its twin from my uncle when he died. It's pictured here...
