Best way to remove a squib round?

Most hardware stores sell brass hinge pins. They fit nicely in a .357 barrel, are about 4" long, sturdy and come 2 to a pack. Their larger, flattened head is great for hitting with a hammer.

Brandy New 29-10 with a drag line on cylinder?

I don't know that anyone on this forum can do anything but guess. Mine is that it was the engraver. Even with the turn line, it's a beautiful revolver.

    Jovino back from Ford’s

Here's another opinion. The side plate treatment is exactly like the rest of the revolver...slightly rounded/softened. It's not like they come from the factory but I don't think that's what they were going for. Personally, I like it.

    Any Idea On This Box?

I think this box is factory made, but not the S&W factory. You know what the SW 27 and 357 mean. The 142 probably indicates a box model number. Looks like pieces of light oak glued together and planed to the proper thickness. The routed edges are beautifully done. Those barrel hinges take the...

I wouldn't send it back to Smith looking like that. They would probably try to hire the guy. Sorry! Couldn't resist.

    1791Gunleather

I contacted these folks about an OWB holster for my S&W 3" model 65. They replied that they have one for up to 4" barrels so there would be some extra length. They also have one for a 2.75" barrel with the end open so a 3" will be exposed and some customers weren't happy with the "fit". I know...

    Restoring some stocks

I think you made a wise decision. Several coats of Tru-oil finish will will overshadow those "beauty" spots.

    20 Gage Dilemma

I confirmed the 2 3/4" chamber before purchase. Since then, I have determined that it reliably loads and ejects high brass and low brass and aluminum Winchester cartridges. As noted, it is the A5 without the magazine cutoff. It also seems to me that it doesn't have the bulk of the A5...

    20 Gage Dilemma

s&wchad, the barrel on this shotgun has this line of stampings on the left side ending near the receiver: 20 GA. BF IMP CYL X According to the Remington Owners forum, the B=January, the F=1937, IMP CYL=improved cylinder and the X= Black Powder. Maybe I made a mistake. I posted...
