    Hello from Maine! A few years ago, I bought a S&W Model 66-2 (6") @ a local gun show. I'm interested in learning a bit of it's history, manufacture date, etc. Any info would be much appreciated. See attached pics.

    Both my brother & I bought 9mm Shields in August this year & have both had this spring pop out enough that we couldn't remove the slide. It happened to me twice and him once.     Shield takedown problem

    Well I just managed to get the spring back into place and it disassembled like it should. Cleaned and gave the spring a good look over and made sure it was in place. Reassembled the gun, and disassembled 3 more times without a hitch. I will call CS and get it back to them to get it right. Thanks...

    Check to be sure clear of ammo, safety on, eject mag, lock slide back, push down lever in magwell, rotate disassembly lever 90 degrees, release slide lock, pull slide forward. Haha, yes, magazine is out.
