Is there a website where I can find info on the various case headstamps?

I contacted S&W as well. They cannot bobtail a scandium frame 1911 once it is finished. The heat treat of the metal would be affected and too expensive to reperform on an individual basis. They suggested buying a new bobtailed gun.
