MILITEC 1 fan here. I'm our Company Arms Room OIC, and we have it on all our weapons. If there's anything that gets dirtier than an M249 firing blanks, I haven't found it - and MILITEC 1 keeps things working and MUCh easier to clean.
Great looking shots, and I just bookmarked your site. I've been a photographer for over 10 years now, but haven't really gotten into product photography. Great stuff, thanks for linking it.
Keep in mind that the point of the AFG isn't even so much to be a real grip as it is to be point of reference. It's one of Magpul's "theory" based products, it's meant to be most useful when it's used in the "Costa grip" - with your hand foreward, gripping pretty high up.
Run a Magpul MS3 to mirror the one on my work rifle. RSA on front, attached to the QD on the back. Love it. Single point if I'm doing lots of transition from shoulder to shoulder, two point once I'm tired of getting hit in the nuts.
Off topic (kind of): Brings to mind an arms room inspection yesterday when the BDE S2 told me (Arms Room Officer) and my armorer we have to be PMCSing our assigned bayonets every 30 days. Yeah, ok...
