    Sold/Withdrawn Lyman 311644 bullet mold

For sale, Lyman 311644 double cavity bullet mold. This is the discontinued gas check 190 grain .30 caliber Silhouette design, with the tapered shank and grease grooves on both the base and nose. It was a great shooter in my O3A3 Springfield. $100 shipped to the lower 48. Strongly prefer US...

    1955 Target Model

I have a 5 screw pre 25-2. I absolutely love it. I traded a refinished M1 Garand even for it in 1992 or so.

    Musings on the M1 carbine

Any time I'm at the range shooting my carbine and some "historian" points out that the Chinese just got up and dusted themselves off after being shot with the carbine, I repeat my standing offer: I'll give you $50 to pace off 50 yds, bend over, and let me shoot you in the butt with my carbine...

    Let's talk 1970s K frame magnums

Hey I think I did it!

    Let's talk 1970s K frame magnums

First off, I hope this worked. It's my first time posting pictures on the new format of the site. It seemed easier, but then again, we'll see... Anyhow, I thought maybe instead of asking others to post pictures, I'd post pictures of MY gun, and the experts can tell me what I'm looking at...

    Let's talk 1970s K frame magnums

I wonder, could someone with examples of all the variants post some pictures showing the various gas ring engineering changes so that I (we) could visualize exactly what is being talked about? And I agree, I have a late 80s vintage 66 that I bought new in 1989, which has mostly been shot as...

Is the Jerry Kuhnhausen Revolver Shop Manual a good source?

Possibly a small 3 ring binder might be your answer, or a print shop/copy center may be able to spiral bind them for you. I'm not sure how much that would cost versus just buying a new one. The 3 ring binder option you could do DIY.

    John Taffin

Can't believe I missed this. I only learned of his passing today. He was truly one of the greats

The Last Gun You'll Part With

Either my 20 gauge standard weight 870 or my 20 gauge Browning Citori. Both were gifts from my dad. The 870 was my very first gun, Xmas 1981. The Browning was my college graduation present.

    Pope Francis died.

He was a good one. I will say, I am shocked and sickened to see the news reports of "mourners" taking selfies of themselves with the casket in the background. I didn't think anything could shock me anymore. I'd like to turn the Swiss Guards loose on them.

    No Space to Reload?

In our apartment when we were first married, I would clamp whatever I was using to a Black and Decker Work Mate and load away. Happy and simpler times! One thing in particular I remember was lubing and sizing cast bullets. I would cast at my parent's house, but I would put the bullets in 3#...

    Medicare Advantage Plans

I find it hilarious that if you watch channels like MeTV, Grit, Insp (basically all the great TV shows from the 50s thru 70s) the commercials are all Medicare Advantage Plans, followed by a testosterone booster commercial, followed by a whole life insurance commercial, a hearing aid...

    Fabrique National Auto 5 12 gauge shotgun from 1927 - 1929

2152hq beat me to it, but I concur. You have a shotgun manufactured for sale somewhere other than the US, that's why it's marked FN and not Browning. The trigger guard safety was actually the second safety design, introduced around 1909 and lasting until the early 50s, then was changed to...
