    Victory Problem Child

Okay ... here's what the issue was, got it back from SW. They replaced the slide stop as it had taken a beating when the barrel nut came loose. I had a rubber o-ring on it, but that was not enough to keep it tight. Soo ... I'll add the wrench to my range bag and check it before & during & after...

Thanks, that's the exact issue, same attempts to deal with in usual manner ... different mags & different/hotter ammo. QUOTE=len917;139881259]Is it possible that you changed ammo? Maybe a higher velocity round would help-it would send the slide back harder and maybe catch after last round...

    Victory Problem Child

Thanks, I will be doing a detailed write up. I like the idea of taking a close up pic and circling the knarled up slide stop edge and slide contact area. I wrote of it the first time. I just have to figure out how to make sure this gets a valid look see rather than the "drive by" glance it got...

    Victory Problem Child

Apparently Smith & Wesson can't figure this one out, so seeking help from you guys I have 1,070 rounds through it and all well, until about 900 rounds and the slide stopped locking back at all on the last round Already tried different ammo & mags Interestingly, the range's rental Victory does...

Just got a MP Shield 40 cal

Uplula and you'll wonder why you never got earlier. Also, leave the mags loaded for a week, empty the mag, and push the follower down with the tip of a pencil/eraser 20 times or so. The spring will "learn" what it's supposed to do.

    SCORE!!!!

Yeah, it didn't happen without proof ;-) Congrats ... is it me, or is that gun having a bit of a revival lately?

FNG from St Louis MO, home of many CNN headlines

It is a beautiful state. We're natives, and it's been a good place to raise a family. Ozark area has grown like crazy ... to much development for you, or to your liking? Hey ... to all you vets ... as my WWII Navy Corpsman Father taught me to say, "Thank you for your service keeping us naive...

Hey, thanks for the warm welcome SW Brothers! I appreciate everyone's hospitality Seriously ... aren't gun guys just the nicest people? That's something that non gunners just don't realize. Dang, isn't that the truth! Latest is the "poor me / I'm a victim" teacher at Mizzou that said "need...

CZ Clone has taken over as #1 CCW

The IDF / Israeli Defense Forces uses a CZ 75 design clone as well, called the "Jericho." IWI has brought them to the US. Their design is based on the Browning Hi-Power indeed, as one poster pointed out. I have the 75BD "Police" version, and it's the HD gun. Has never had a malf in 500...

FNG from St Louis MO, home of many CNN headlines

Hello All ... I've used this site and benefited from the wisdom of many here, so I figured I'd do the right thing and register. My SWs are 642 Airweight and a couple of classics ... 19-3 and 64-3, both in 4" and both still shooting tight groups. I work at one of the major national firearms...
