New 686-4 3 inch for price check

I am planning on selling this pistol from the mid 1990's and would like to get an estimate for a fair price. It is a safe queen, new with all paper work, with the box serial numbered to the pistol, pre MIM and pre lock, one of 2500 made. Does $1350 + shipping and handling sound about right...

    Serial No. Question on 27-2

Thank you Doc and C. I'm used to the Colt world where there's only one serial #.

    Serial No. Question on 27-2

I see two sets of numbers on the frame and cylinder assembly: The first is N337XX on the gun frame next to Mod. 27-2 and is also on the bottom butt of the blued grip frame; the second is B3311 and G7 by the cylinder ejector rod and on the fame post when the grip is removed. Why two sets of numbers?

Why do Colt snakes sell for so much more than comparable S&W's

Thank you gentlemen. I didn't know that Colt no longer manufactured revolvers. I'll go elsewhere and try to find out how that decision was made. Paul

Why do Colt snakes sell for so much more than comparable S&W's

Is it just current fashion or is there more to it?
