Market Check on USAF Model 15

I recall from the 60's when I was in the Air Force, that our Air Police (as they were then called) carried the Smith 15. Good gun. I owned one, let it get away, but still have my 19. The price on this one seems a bit steep. Not sure why it's set there. Good luck.

    Girsan P35

I'd be curious to know how you compare the Girsan to your other Hi Power. I've read that the trigger on the P 35 is terrible, that is not helped by the magazine disconnect, and I don't believe it will handle Plus P loads. Hollow points would do, if they feed reliably, since I would carry it...

    Should I fire it?

Beautiful gun. But by all means shoot it. Otherwise it's like having a Ferrari in your garage, and never driving it. Except in the rarest cases I have put aside collector value, and shoot everything I own, after weighing how much I might decrease its value by doing that, against the pleasure...

    Custom Buck 110

Very nicely done. I've had several brands of folding knives, and found that Buck is hard to beat. I've used mine hard, and while it's a bit hard to sharpen, it holds up to every task I've asked of it.

    Bought an unknown revolver today...

It is in beautiful shape, and I love that model so I would not have resisted buying it either. An early 27, no doubt with very good value.

Another Early Nickel Pre-19 Combat Magnum

Really nice shape for such an early model. One of my favorites, I like mine a great deal, a beautifully blued four inch version. I was just reading an article about the new Model 19 that Smith is offering, somewhere between eight and nine hundred dollars, apparently with what they describe as...

How accurate can you be with a .22 snub 34 or 63?

I had a model 36 years ago, handy to carry, but couldn't hit a barn door with it. Traded it for a Model 19, and I could easily put six in my hat at ten yards with that one. Kept it.

    Baby Chief...What you think?

Had one once, Model 36, square butt, blue steel. Very handy to carry, couldn't hit a barn door with it. Moved up to a Model 19, that I still have. This is a nice one, and you got it for a fair price. Nice add to any collection.

    455/45Lc Triple Lock Acquisition

I've read that the triple lock is one of the strongest lockup systems ever made in a production revolver, and a collector piece now. Mechanically and historically interesting, but I've never found it visually appealing. Still, this particular one has an intriguing history. Good story. I...

    686-4 Silhouette - Polished

686 smith Really beautiful gun; hope you enjoy shooting it. Thanks for sharing the pics. I'm not normally a fan of stainless, even though it has its virtues, but this Smith polished up beautifully. It's a shame how many people allow nice firearms to corrode, just inexcusable. I have an...

Vintage Buck 110 and now added a model 112!

I have that same model Buck, and although I have a number of other folders, many Case models of which I'm fond, and other fancier models, for a hard working, won't wear out, tough as nails knife this one is hard to beat. I've put it to the test many times, and it has never failed. If I had to...

    Model 627 is an eyesore!

This is about the aesthetics of the pistol. Always liked the style of the Smith revolvers, all the classics, but I'm having trouble getting used to that "flange" that connects the forward edge of the ejector rod housing to the front of the barrel. Reminds me a bit of the old Remington single...

    645 before and after

John Wayne in "The Shootist" - El Paso Saddlery rig doesn't quite match....

Wonder if anyone is offering a commercial version of the yellow Catalin/Bakalite grips that the Duke used on his sixgun?
