Born in '47, just got a new job near Worcester,Mass. in '77 paying $178 per week.
Bought my 29-2 a few weeks later, used with minor wear, paid $325 and was lucky to get it. I believe M.S.R.P. was $181 !
In 1977 I bought a used 29-2, 6.5" barrel with a Patridge front sight with a v-groove in the top. Could that have been factory? Unfortunately that beauty is long gone.
Tri-focal glasses work well for me. Measure distance from eye to front sight, then have center lens focused for that distance. 24" works best for me. It's also great for computer screen, speedometer etc. Good luck!
