I picked up a couple of boxes of american eagle ammo today. They worked flawlessly. There was some questions regarding my cylinder in previous posts. This particular gun has about 2000 rounds through it, mostly the armscor that has been giving me the problems when I try to use the clips...
Thank you for he comments.
I am using tk moonclips. The armscor brass was so tight that it was twisting the moonclip. I am reloading this brass. I am using a 158 grain lswc and 3.6 grains of HP38. Not a very hot load. I am using a moonclip tool.
I will try some other ammo. I am so...
I finally got some moonclips to work with my brass. Now the challenge I am running into is that it is difficult to eject the brass after firing. The brass is expanding enough to cause some binding. Is this a common problem?
I think I may have to have the brass fit more loosely. I am not...
I purchased a set of moon clips from TKCustoms that were supposed to fit my brass. It was darn close but not close enough. I decided to hit the clips with my dremel. Finally, success! I also found that if the bullets did not fit relatively loosely, it would not drop in nicely to the cylinder...
Hi Everyone,
Is this a common mark on the cylinder? I also attached a pic of what I believe is the culprit, the screw (and hole) for the front sight. The marks really do not want to come off when cleaning.

Good lord, 50 yards with a pistol? I was all happy shooting 15 yards :)
How big are the freaking targets? I'm not even sure I can see that far.
I am about to get into a pistol club near my house. I suspect there are some very good shooters there. I was told there are some gentlemen there...
I agree. They are a bit of a novelty, and the gun shoots great without them. I figured since I have the option, I may as well learn how to use them. I also plan to try my hand at pin shooting this year. A nice 180 blunt nosed bullet in this gun should hold its own. Theoretically I should...
Thank you. We plan to enjoy this gun for many years. I guess it doesn't exist unless there is a pic. I really want to dislike the grips but it is very comfortable, even when shooting a fairly hot 357 mag load:
Hi everyone.
I have a 686 Prop plus. I am having one heck of a time with the moonclips. The ammo fit is very tight and by the time that seventh bullet is inserted, the thing is just twisting from the pressure. I also have some self defense ammo (357mag) that clips in very easily. They...
