In what way? More accuracy? Fewer FTE's? Just curious.

    Lubrication question - confused

I am new to handguns so I have relied on forums like this and YouTube videos to gain expertise. Just about every cleaning example or instruction talks about lubricating sparingly and at specific places on the gun. Yet, at my LTC class, before the range session the instructors had us clear our...

    Shield, safety W/or WO?

I, too, have opted for the Shield WITH safety as it is my first experience with a SA. After a time and with gained experience like many on this forum have I have no doubt I would feel comfortable with NO safety.

New 9mm Shield first range trip.

I got my 9 Shield last month and have been to the range twice putting just over 200 rds through it. Really like it but I need to work on trigger control as the last time I fired a handgun was in the Army (too many years ago to mention) :)

    Target ammo for Shield 9

I use ammoseek.com to find the best prices. Along the same lines, how do people feel regarding brass vs steel casings? Steel seems to be cheaper but from what I have read, "dirtier".

    Target ammo for Shield 9

Buying on line is much cheaper. Just ordered Blazer ammo yesterday, brass casings, for $9.43/box of 50.

    New Shield 9 Happy Happy

I bought my Shield 9 last month and have only been to the range with it one time, putting 100 rds through it. Love the feel and accuracy, though I do need a little more practice to get the right trigger discipline as I, like many, had too many rounds a little low and left.

    Shield 9mm FTE Problems

I went to the range yesterday for the 1st time with my Shield and put 100 rds of Winchester White Box through it flawlessly. Of course, 100 rds is nothing. :) My niece was with me and she also has a Shield and had 2 or 3 FTE in 50 rounds but she was using different ammo. She may also have been...

Am I crazy for buying a Shield?

I just bought a Shield as my first handgun last week and even I initially had a problem racking the slide at first. Gaining more familiarity with the gun and watching some YouTube videos I learned that it is a case of technique more than strength. Here is one such video with a young woman...

Am I crazy for buying a Shield?

I just bought a Shield as my first gun last Thursday. I did so based on so many outstanding reviews, its proven accuracy and reliability, suitability for CC and on the recommendation of both my niece and nephew. As a result of buying the Shield I have joined this forum to soak up as much info as...

    9mm Shield - First Impressions

Thanks, Dirtman. I didn't have a lot of time to "play" with the Shield before buying it as the instructors at the range loaded everything we got to fire. Just practicing here at home now that I own one it is becoming easier and easier for me to pull back the slide and lock it. Thanks for that...

    9mm Shield - First Impressions

Just bought a 9MM Shield today, my first hand gun. Read all of the great reviews and my niece has one and I really liked the size and fiel of it. I, too, think the slide is tough to pull back (could be just my inexperience as well) and magazines are hard to load. Got all 8 rounds in the...
