    Refinish Opinions?

    I don't know if this can help but my 38 SA which is from the first year of production : 1891, has the extractor star nickeled. I am quite sure the nickel finish is original. (I also have a Russian 2nd model which has the extactor star nickeled)

    It comes from Belgium ! I bought it from an antique firearms dealer who have very nice items, mainly coming from US.

    I have got one : I have requested the letter of authenticity and it appears that it was originally blued. It has probably been resold on the civilian market as many of them and has been renickeld for that purpose.
