What's the most reliable vehicle you've owned?

I wrote about my wonderful 1955 Mercury but it keeps getting wiped off.

What's the most reliable vehicle you've owned?

In 1958 I bought a 1955 Mercury, red with white top and side door trim and stick shift. It was so good to me and super reliable. I loved that car. One of the dumbest things I ever did was trade it 3 years later after college graduation. I wish I had it back. Today I drive Honda.

    My first BIG one

I bought an 83/8" M29blue when I started IMHMSA about that time and used it for that for several years. It did finally go out of time so I returned with a letter stating why I used it and upon its return it never went out of time again. Great job. Back then M29s were almost impossible to find...

    Model 29-2 4" NICKEL

I carried a 4" nickel M29 while working security in Youngstown in the 1970s and early 1980s. It was a great gun, but I sold it when I left the area. I missed it and replaced it later with a 4" blue M29.

    Nickel 19 snub

M66 21/2"... I was lucky to get the early 66-1 model right after they became available to the public. Earlier ones were for le only. They were very hot items then.

629 No Dash Ammunition Limit Suggestions

Model 629 loads and bullets.... I have one of the first M629s produced for the public. I have two loads: 240gr. Sierra JHC or Speer JHP with 24 grains of WW296 and 250gr. hard cast with 10.5gr. Unique for plinking. The problem of reversing the cylinder was common in the old days.

    A question....

I carry mostly a M638 and a speed strip and/or a speed loader. Friends are advising me to change to a S&W 9mm with extra mag. I can't see any real advantage to doing so. What do you think? Thanks.

    Should I buy?....

My edc guns are a M638 or 2" M60. Included are a speed strip and/or speed loader. Some friends say I should get a 9mm S&W with an extra mag. to replace the above. I really can't see any real advantages. Are there some? Please give me your thoughts. Thanks much.

    67-1 Landed!

I have a white sighted M67 bought new that after several rounds had a "fly forward" trigger on the return. Fault was galling on stainless steel hammer and trigger.. The factory replaced with hard chrome parts and all fine now. It is super accurate and I have loved it for years.

    The Real Hand Cannons

I used an 8.3/8 m29 in production standing in those good old days. I would NEVER use any gun with a 1.5 pound trigger pull for hunting! Way to dangerous.

Question about CCW Safe self defense "insurance"

I went with the sister company, US Law Shield after a lot of research.

    Concealed Carry Insurance

I think you and ksdeputy are wrong. Even if you are cleared of charges there might be civil suits against you that will take all your assets. Even though I have a ccw I was afraid to carry until I got insurance.

    Concealed Carry Insurance

dwpmusic, I researched some carriers and finally selected US Law Shield. A local gun shop may have a rep. or know of one, but they have a good website and offer a lot.
