I love the gun... I'll post some pics when I get my furniture in. I think it's molded in green but there is some black on the inside of the mag well so I could be wrong.

Yes, It is "sorta" OD green. It doesn't match any of the companies' OD green though. I just pulled the trigger on some black as I had talked myself mostly out of trying foliage green anyway. I am one of the few that like the FG though and may end up with it on one of my other ARs.

I don't think you two are disagreeing... I really appreciate all of the help. I checked the line. It's definitely not rounded. Neither are any of the pins. The trigger/hammer have case hardening, it's just hard to see in the pic (iPhone).

Thanks all! JP@AK, I do not care about monetary value... nor do I care enough to get a factory letter. The trigger and hammer do not appear to have any finish but it's hard to say for sure. If it is a refinish, someone did one heck of a job. I just wished my wife had asked her "little granny"...
