Thanks for confirming my guess. I think I will do as you suggest and just shoot wadcutters though it to make it obvious which ammo should be used in the gun. Now I just need to buy some. Looks like Titegroup or Universal would make a low pressure load with a 148 grain wadcutter. Does...

I didn't realize it was a 1920's gun when I bought it. I assume that I should stick to standard 38 Special loads and avoid +P loads.

Found something interesting this weekend at my local shop. It is a 10-8 with what they identified as British proof marks on the barrel and cylinder. Serial number IDs it as built in 1980. One of the last with a pinned barrel. Grips were well worn, scratched and chipped like they had been...

I just used a small bolt, 2 washers and the appropriate nut with some blue locktite on the threads. Works just fine, only costs about a dime, available almost anywhere.

Another satisfied DS-10 Speed customer. I have both types and some loading blocks. The loading blocks really make it easy to use them. Great product, works very well.
