OK, so i finally get the C.O.R.E. back from S&W it works great! According to the work order they replaced the mag catch and deburred the parting lines in the mag well. I shot it in a weekly competition that I'm in this past Sunday and it I love it. Thanks to all for your input.

When I tested it the pistol was vertical or slightly angled. I was trying to simulate a mag reload during competition.

I've tried the 2 mags that came with it and 5 of the 7 I have for my original Pro 9 and they all do the same thing. I've contacted S&W again and waiting to hear from them. Thanks,

I have an M&P Pro Series 5" that I use for competition and love it. I picked up a used M&P Pro Series C.O.R.E. that I wanted to start using for competition and keep my original as a back up. As soon as I got it home to check it out I quickly discovered when I press the mag release the magazine...

I guess better late than never to update. It was an M&P9L with 2 mags and I did get it and the magazines work in both. The 9L is a great shooter!

Thanks smitret, I thought so. I have an M&P 9 with 4 mags and looking at picking up an M&P 9 Pro with 2 hoping I could use the magazines in both.

Does anyone know if the magazines for the M&P 9 4-1/4" barrel work on the M&P Pro 5" barrel?
