    Which would you choose?

Well, I hate to dig up a not so old post but I just HAVE to do it! You see, it is EASY giving advice to people you don't know but a real friend knows what you like and is HONEST with you. This was a really fun post because I like being the guy that goes against everyone..... and this was great...

    Which would you choose?

Hey Max, this man is not just a "shooting partner" he is a brother to me so you can share your "third party" opinion with someone who asked for it. Trust me, as uptight as you seem to be, You would nevver be MY partner. Now why not stick to the topic my brother posted about....... which is a...

    Which would you choose?

I totally agree Big Guns. As long as he leaves that snub home on competition day, I am more than happy for him it is a gorgeous gun and I can't wait to shoot it!

    Which would you choose?

Well, there's my partner! So explain the "necessity" of the snub? I KNOW you ain't gonna carry it.... Simply put, I voted for my own selfish reason! Now that leaves two possibilities; you either bought it to fondle or resell. Right choice to add to a collection and fondle but I disagree with...

    Which would you choose?

LOL...... I too am not arguing that point. I am saying that from a shooting PARTNER's point of view he made the wrong decision. Which one would I buy first? the 19 of course. But when he is MY partner I want to see that long tube in his hand...... not a snubby. Peace everyone.

    S&W 625-8

Absolutely LOVE my 625. It is a prelock but I doubt that makes a difference when shooting. Its a gun that is quite accurate and can be shot all day long with no problem. Very little recoil and leaves a nice big hole in paper! LOL

    Which would you choose?

Chaos, lots has happened in a year..... I will buy every pre lock 686 you can find for $400! That's a $100 profit for you on each gun!!!

    Which would you choose?

Everyone notice how my partner is staying out of this now..... he knows he told me he was done buying fondle guns and only buying guns to help us win competitions! That's just like him! LOL. Nice chatting with you guys.

    Which would you choose?

What are you talking about? the 686 is worth more than the 19s in every barrel length. Where are you getting your prices? I can guy 19s all day long for under $600. Not gonna happen with the pre-lock 686s. Now don't get me wrong, I LOVE the 19 and is one of my favorite shooters..... but they...

    Which would you choose?

There is a very nice nickel one just like it for sale on this very forum asking $565 SHIPPED! How can such a rare incredible piece of Smith history like that still be for sale? LOL. Try buying that 686 for that price in THAT condition....... bad trade,

    Which would you choose?

Range gun! Lol. If you bought it for a range gun over a long tube 686 you made the WRONG decision. Do me a favor, when we team up to shoot competitively PLEASE leave that snubby "range gun" at home. Don't lie to these good people.... U are going to go back to fondling and owning a gun just to...

    Which would you choose?

Was that 686 a post or pre-lock revolver. If it was pre-lock then they no longer make those either. Both are readily available on the open market amd the 19 is not that expensive to buy. I still think it it boils down to what you are going to do with it as do all guns.

    Which would you choose?

Like I said, what are you going to use it for? Fondling, carrying, or what? It's no collectors piece but would make a nice carry! I'll take the 686 because I like to shoot every weekend for accuracy while taking on other people.
  14. P

    Which would you choose?

What are you going to do with it, carry it? If so, good choice! But if you are a weekend warrior that shoots friendly competition then I think the 686 would have served that purpose MUCH better. So tell us, what do you plan on using the gun for?

    S&W 586 - opinions appreciated

I have the same gun you are describing and find it to be a great shooter and one of my favorites to take out on the weekend. I paid just a little less with excellent target grips but the prices of used Smiths are going up fast! It impressed me enough that I turned around and just bought a 6" 686...
