Just ordered replacement recoil spring from wolf. They sent two springs, the largere one is recoil spring is easy. What's the smaller one for ? Thanks,

I'm guessing it's the recoil spring. I had the FTF with a new mecgar 17 round clip which was pretty tight. It appears that Wolf springs are the best replacement. It looks like there's three different weights, reduced, factory, and extra. I'm planning on shooting white winchester from Walmart...

Finally got a chance to hit the range. I picked this up from cdnn. I had no ejection problems, but I did have some feeding problems both with the factory mag and mecgar mag. I was using Winchester rounds from Walmart. Any guesses?

Thanks all. We'll try the alcohol first to see how they clean up. Just did a quick field strip and the gun was spotless. I'll give it once over anyway. Good idea about glow paints.

The gun is in great shape. I need some advise on the Novak sights as the white is gone. What are options and likely costs? Also the red on the decocker indicator is gone. I'm thinking enamel paint on a tooth pick. Seeking guidance from everyone's eExperience. Thanks

CDNN - 5096 Select Update Finally got to the paperwork piece of things and was able to check out my new baby. First impression... great. well worth the extra money for the select/hand pick. I don't think I'l be needing the scotch pads after all. I think all I'll need to do is clean it up and go...

Folks, just ordered 5906 from CDNN. Any advise for polishing her up? I dont want a super "flashy" finish just as close to factory as I can get. I've read here people are using Flitz to Mothers? Any suggestions would be appreciated. I ordered the select so hopefully it will be in the 90-95% range...
