I recently bought a 66-1 with a six inch barrel with a non pinned barrel and recessed cylinder. looks brand new, unused and came with its original box, paper work and cleaning tools, unopened. I understand that my serial # 111K### is 1981.

Just bought a Smith & Wesson 66-1 with a 6 inch barrel. Serial # 111K###. Came with original box, factory paper work and cleaning tools. Looks like it has been rarely fired. I intend to use this revolver. Is this a mistake, should I mothball it as a collectable, or enjoy it as a firearm...
