In a perfect world nobody should buy the first edition of anything. But someone has to do it. If nobody did they’d never be able to develop a good product!
Has anyone thought of using a spacer in the magazine to increase spring pressure? I would be willing to sacrifice a round or two if it meant the pistol would function properly.. I saw some of the Gen 3 G20 guys did that using a .460 Rowland spring. I wonder if we could do something similar for...
I’m having the same FTF issue with my 4.6” model. Mine runs the range ammo fine, but once you step up to the higher powered 10mm loads (Underwood and AA9 reloads) it has the failure to feed issues. Specifically on the last few rounds like you mentioned.
It’s such a shame too because I really...
I understand that it doesn’t slow the slide down as it’s closing, but wouldn’t it slow the slide down as it’s going back? If so wouldn’t that be beneficial to give the mag time to press the next cartridge up?
Did they fit as is? If so what part number did you buy? I would love to pick up some heavier recoil springs to see if that solves the issue.
When I talked to Wolff about a week ago they said that they won’t have any recoil springs for the 10mm until this summer. They also said they haven’t...
Sorry you’re having issues as well. Please keep us posted on your progress! I am anxious to see what Smith and Wesson say once they have their hands on it.
Were you having the issue with regular practice ammo or full power ammo?
I’m with you. I really like the 2.0 and I want to hang onto it...
Thanks for the advise. That actually makes a lot of sense now that you mention the slide outrunning the magazine spring. Especially the failure to feed the last couple rounds.
I was able to consistently reproduce the failure to feed with my reloads on the 2nd to last round. Lengthening the OAL...
Good evening everyone,
Thanks for the add.
I bought my new Smith and Wesson M&P 2.0 10mm 4.6” about a month ago from my LGS. I absolutely loved the grip, the trigger, and the cartridge. I had been looking for a gun I liked in 10mm for awhile and once I saw the new 2.0s chambered in 10mm I...
