The answer is pretty simple...
Go to the range and shoot both your regular ammo and some of your +P. If you can feel a noticeable difference, then you should practice being accurate with the +P more. If you don't feel much difference, then you're probably fine not using it for practice.
I understand the OP's dilemma. I am also a big guy. I don't wear jeans, belts, or anything that accommodates a traditional holster. I wear loose fitting cotton pants or most of the time casual shorts. Both of which usually have large pockets.
I recently bought a Ruger LCP for carry. It came...
I shot the LCP for the first time today. Never shot a tiny .380 before. I love this little gun! It has some kick, but easily to manage. It's VERY accurate (as all the reviews said). Being a second version LCP, it has normal sights as opposed to the older ones with the useless low pro sights. And...
I'll be open and honest here...
I have several rimfire rifles and love to target benchrest shoot.
I have never had a centerfire gun until I bought my 9mm SD9VE. When I bought it, I was intimidated by it. After all, one mistake could equal death. But my feeling was better to be cautious than...
I come from NY and live in FL....both of which are non-OC states.
But here's my opinion on open carry, from the point of view of someone inside Walgreens....
If I were to see someone open carrying in a public place, with say, a 1911 in a holster, and going about their business, I would not be...
I was already leaning towards the LCP, but stopped down to check them both out. I still chose the LCP, and got the model with the Viridian laser. The BG380 just didn't feel as comfortable in my hands, and I didn't like all the levers on the left side. The LCP was more streamlined and smooth, and...
Well that's the thing. It's different now. The new Lasermax is a higher power more visible green laser. It has a manual push button, but also the Lasermax version comes with thin nylon holster with a magnet in it that turn it on and off when you pull the gun in and out.
I do like the grip...
Because even the smallest 9mm isn't as small as an LCP. And even the smallest difference in size can make all the difference in the world.
I've been researching myself, and I'm going with the LCP. My dilemma now is do I want the Lazermax or the Crimson trace.
I use the Rem UMC 115 grain mostly in my SD9VE and it's never had one issue. I have also found it to be slightly more accurate than the cheaper Tulammo (which it also shoots just fine).

If the reduced capacity mags are the same design as the sigma ones were, here's the difference...
They stamp two indents into the side of the mag, to stop the bullets from going past that point. Then they make laser cuts around the ends of the mags from indent to indent. They do that so if you...
