I shot a armadillo with 45 hardball. He rolled over and ran about 20 yards. Went to a shooting one night where to men were shot with 45 hardball. The one hit center mass went down on the spot. The other was hit just above each nipple. He ran about 60 yards, stopped and collapsed.

Clinger makes one that covers the slide safeties, but I purchased a kydex paddle holster off ebay. It's made by aggressive concealment. Cost was about 35bucks. I contacted him and asked to make my holster to cover both safeties. I contacted Vetter holsters who stated they would also make there...

I contacted Vedder and Aggressive Concealment holster companies. Both stated they would make there CSX holster to cover both slide safeties if requested. Clinger is already making holsters that cover both safeties.

I found the problem. I unloaded the pistol and holstered it. When sitting down in the vehicle the holsters thumb snap pushes against the left side safety disengaging it. On the IWB Kydex holster the right side safety is exposed and gets bumped off on the seat belt. My holster search continues.

I have had my CSX for about a month now. I started carrying it in a clip on Kydex IWB holster cocked and locked. After returning home from a trip to town I found the safety lever had moved to the fire position. I thought maybe I forgot to put the safety on but it happened again...

Kind of looks that way. Maybe they are improving there customer service. I have to say I like it.

I need a front sight but hate to bother S&W anymore.

I pulled the black f/p stop out and polished it the best I could. Was surprised that it actually helped. Its a lot better than when it was new.

I emailed S&W and requested a new Firing pin block. Have not heard back yet. The hardest part of removing the f/p block is finding a magnet small enough to fit in the hammer slot. I used a larger magnet stuck onto a punch tool. It magnified the whole punch. Worked great.

I pulled the slide off and the creep was gone. I think the problem is the firing-pin safety plunger. Mine is black. Looks like it may be polymer. Can't find a replacement on line so I may just call S&W and see if they will send a new one. Thanks for the suggestion.

Thanks to the people who have explained how to disassemble the CSX. I pulled mine apart a polished the hammer and sear. Trigger still has the wall and some gritty fill. Any idea what parts I should try next? Tried searching the forum but had no luck.

All I can find at Walmart in pistol ammo is fmj.

I own a 386 and 396. Botn are in need of a new finish. Is there anyone refinishing these for a decent price?
