My like new 5906 has become a 'safe queen', but my 4006 purchased in 1994 has accompanied me in the truck since... they will absolutely eat anything you feed them, and the most reliable in my entire stable!

Just reading through these 4006 posts is fascinating to me... just wondering if anyone would have any insight into my serial number? My first purchase of a 3rd Gen 4006 was a lightly pre-owned in 1995 with serial VCE prefix... it has been my trusted companion ever since, and have added a 5906...

5906 Mags I have two of the Mecgar 17-round as well... they are just as reliable as the factory mag. Really an excellent product, unlike some of the other aftermarket brands...

Couldn't agree more with all the 5906 recommendations... absolute "tank" of a firearm!

4006 Fever... My 4006 probably has 300-400 rounds through it since purchased in 1995... it is my constant truck console companion and one of my favorite EVER pistols... you'll be glad you did it!

Ultra-Dot is probably one of the best red-dot sights for the money!

4006 Owner since 1994 ... traded a Glock 9mm for my 4006 and never looked back... out of my entire collection, still the one I shoot the best and have the most fun doing it... indestructible and wonderful!

I would check with Comp-Tac... they make several IWB that are well designed... I just ordered a CTAC from them due to high recommendations from the Sig Forum group...
