I carry the 632 UC. Mine was great out of the box. I put a green Crimson trace laser grip on it. Can't do that with the auto. Now I can fire very well placed shots very quickly, without even looking through the sights, if needed. The iron sights are still accessible, unlike having a red dot on...
Also, when reaming, you want to leave the extractor in, as it is part of the chamber. You do want to clean the space under the extractor and the bottom of the extractor well before starting. Put a couple of fired cases in other chambers to keep the extractor from moving sideways. Ream so that...
I have found that a lot of times when a revo is acting weird, that either the hammer or trigger pivot pin has broken off, and the related appendage is wallowing around inside. This may or may not be the case here, but might be worth a look.
The ones I like the best are Bayou Bullets 138 gr. DEWC. In my guns, running them at around 910 -920 FPS, I'm getting about 1-1/2 groups at 50 yds. shooting rested on sandbags. These are polymer coated and very clean to load and shoot. I've shot several hundred thousand of swaged and cast...
The few Colt Python barrels I've measured were an even size for the length of the bore. However they are more accurate with light (slow) target loads due to the 1 - 14 twist rate, as compared to the S&W 1 - 18-3/4 twist rate.
When the barrel is screwed on too tightly, it will be slightly smaller where the barrel threads into the frame. I have seen them as much as .003 smaller in that spot. This kills accuracy because the bullet is swaged down to that size, and then is too small the rest of the way. It also can result...
