Thanks guys. I missed out! I posted this and then realized I knew it was to good to pass up and called the shop right away....only to found out it sold 2 days ago!!! .....Im going to kick myself for this one....$599...no case or tools etc, but I am sick now...I want to finish this collection...

I did some searching and found mixed results. I recently came across a Pinned and Recessed 4" S&W 629. I already have a 6" P&R 629 and want to finish the collection over time, fig. a 4" and a 8 3/4". So....what would be a fair price for a P&R 629 4" model be? I think I paid $400 for my 6" but...

Thanks Dan! I apprecaite the info. The holsters would be included in the price. Asking price is $325. Of course I found this gun just before I got my taxes done, and to make a long sad story short, a mix up at work leads to Uncle Sam saying I owe him 4 Figures...of course that might put this on...

Finally found out, it is indeed Blued. Also has the original grips that were taken off when new. So I may still take alook at it if the price is right. Thanks agian all! I appreciate all the help!

I got some more info from the seller. It was bought new for his wife as her carry gun, never had +p fired through it. I asked if it was stainless but got no response, so waiting to find out. So....I DONT need another gun, but if I can get a "good" deal and enjoy it I might. So $300 or under...

That picture does look like it might be blued. With holsters would this still be considered a $350-400 gun? Also, anything particular I should look for as far as serial number etc? I know Im not falling into a rare find like my 6" P&R 629 haha. Thanks all!

I will when I get a chance to see it.....I just find it wierd that it would be marked wrong on paper....like you said...how hard is it to open the cylinder and see?

I seen one the other day in a local shop. Noticed it had some rubber grips on it, so I assume it was suppose to be wood grips. It was chamb. in .38, and 4" model. They had it tagged at $300. Is that about right?

Thanks Everyone. I put them beside my other goncalo alves and these are much much lighter in color. So are these goncalo alves or are they walnut? haha.

Thanks S&Wchad. Yeah I was trying to figure out if they were goncalo alves or not. They seem lighter colored then the other goncalo alves that I have. Heck either way, I picked them up for $19.50 shipped, so I fig. I got a good deal.
