I use Hogue grips on my 2 model 29's, sucks up alot of recoil, love shooting the 44's. I too am an old guy, can't let that slow you down.

I have one 27 and two 29-2's (One Nickel, One Blue). No comparison for me, I love shooting the 44's. I reload so the cost of ammo is not a big issue.
