I have a 625 JM and love it. Once I start shooting it I cannot put it down and it is a tack driver. Mine have a fiberoptic front sight and a Weiguard narrow rear blade. Go buy it you will love it. Double action is a bit harder to shoot with the heavy trigger but I have the JM spring kit it it...
Last update
Got the new screw from S&W yesterday. Tried the threads they were clean and screw went right in. I put the JM bang spring kit in last night and it did make a difference on the DA and I am pleased I installed it. Now to find some range time to try out the new spring kit.
Update from gun smith.
They had a really hard time to get it out also. They got it to move with extreme force then had to take back behind walls to a different vice. They got it out and said there was a white power that came out as it was turning out. The screw has a crack in the head so I am...
I tried the iorn again to no avail held it on for about 12 minutes. Seemed like screw was not transfering the heat as screw was cool only a minute after having heat applied.
I will take it to a gunsmith Thursday and get a price to have it removed.
I may try the soldering iron again I did keep it on there for about 10 minutes before I tried to loosen the screw the previous owner I know in person and see him every week at the club.
Update
Tried pb breaker no luck then tried getting screw real hot with a soldering iorn no luck will not move at all. Guess it will have to go to a gun smith for a simple screw.
I also use the rimz moon clips
Well tried the heat no luck will not move at all either direction it .
After it cools down I will try so penetrating oil see if that helps if not you'll have to go to a Smith because I don't want to round it off totally then it'll have to go back to Smith &...
Picked up my first revolver a few weeks ago a barely shot like new 625JM. It came with a bang spring kit that was never installed so I figured I would install and see how much it changes the double action pull feel. Went to remove the strain screw and it is rock solid it will not budge at all...
The lee classic turret is a great press. I myself just started reloading 9mm on one. As for the brass go hang around you local range and collect brass that guys are not keeping. That is where your savings comes in by not having to buy the brass. Make sure you get the classic and not the basic...
I believe I have it working good loaded 67 test rounds over weekend and not 1 mis feed on the primers did not drop 1 so I hope I have the bugs worked out
I know this is an Old Post but I was looking for this exact information I have come to the conclusion that this Lee primer feed is a pain in the butt no matter how I adjust mine it will not put the primer in the pocket unless I use two fingers one pushing down on the top front edge and one...
I shot my first reloads they all cycled good loaded 115 barrys with 231 at 1.115 with 4.3 and also 4.4 and 4.5 power loads. Must say even the 4.5 had very little recoil compared to a factory load which made me think they were all week . Is this common with 231 to have a soft or light recoil...
