    Adjusting a fixed sights gun

Gentlemen, Here is an update for your information. I discussed the matter with a Smith & Wesson representative and he said the send the gun in for evaluation. Today, after almost 3 weeks, I received it back with notations that adjustments had been made and it had been range tested. So I did...

    Adjusting a fixed sights gun

I should have explained more in my thread starter. I am shooting off a bench and my group size is about 1-inch at 45 feet. My ammo is 240 grain FMJ's that I reloaded as the accuracy ammo for two other 44 caliber handguns. By shooting such a tight group I figured this ammo should work in the...

    Adjusting a fixed sights gun

Gentlemen, I have a current Model 21 with 4" barrel (fixed sights). It shoots 2" to the right at 45 feet. What can be done to adjust it where it shoots dead center? Is there a "correct" way do this? Thank you in advance, Rafter-S

    Solvent for cleaning nickel guns

Gentlemen, Please forgive me for asking such an elementary question. But I need to know what I can use to clean the exterior of nickel guns with without damaging the nickel. Specifically, cleaning the splattering caused by shooting cast lead bullets. Lead "splattering" is on the front of the...

Need a new lead melting pot ... any suggestions?

This is some great information. Thank you so much for your replies. If I may ask another question: what are your views on Lee's molds designed specifically for Alox lube?...the molds that cast bullets with a series of small, shallow lube grooves? Thank you in advance for your replies. Rafter-S

Need a new lead melting pot ... any suggestions?

I presume I can separate the steel clip weights using a magnet. What would be an efficient way to remove the zinc clips from the lead?

Need a new lead melting pot ... any suggestions?

Gentlemen, I just acquired a large amount of used wheel weights and decided to start back casting bullets again. I have everything needed except an electric melting pot. I will be casting bullets for my own use (no large quantities) so I was wondering which pot to get. I note several people...

I made my own holster for my model 21

It's really not a problem with my belt buckled up tight. It doesn't "slip" any at all. My original intent was to make it where it would be carried on a wide gun belt. But it does fine on the 1-1/2" belt for my pants. Rafter-S

Looking for pocket holster suggestions for a J-Frame

I would make one for someone if I have the handgun to fit it to--each one is made custom. As far as cost is concerned, I would do it for $20 plus priority mail shipping which is about $7 I think. So the total would be $27 to get it to you. Now the big question is, what pistol would you want...

I made my own holster for my model 21

Thank you for the compliments and also the request to show more of my holsters. I have made several for myself and a few for some local friends and neighbors. In most cases I took photos so I will find them and put them on another thread. Again, thank you for your encouragement. Rafter – S
