    TRR8 - Some Questions...

Hi all. Purchased a NIB TRR8 today. :D I have some questions about sights: 1. The front sight. It is listed as interchangeable. I'd like a simple white dot as found on the TR8 M&P version; or an XS Big Dot as found on the Night Guards. Does S&W sell these sights? 2. The rear sight. Does...

C&S Extreme Duty Fixed Rear Sight

Another member also found that his C&S sight did not fit his R8. However the sight did fit his M27 Classic and his M29 Classic. So the problem appears to be with the R8, not the sight; apparently the R8 has non-standard sight mounting holes. Question is: why? Adding to the confusion, I just saw...

C&S Extreme Duty Fixed Rear Sight

They say it will fit most N-frames. This morning I verified it will not fit the PC R8, because the screw holes are off.:( Maybe the TR versions of this revolver will work?

C&S Extreme Duty Fixed Rear Sight

Hello. Will this sight fit the following models: 327TRR8, M&PR8 and 325TR? I was told it won't fit any of them (screw holes won't line up) but I want to make sure. Thanks.

Eagle Grips -- Black Polymer, Smooth

Anyone tried these? I ordered a pair for a square-butt N-frame, magna style. Actually, I'm a bit concerned: I recently read some negative posts on Eagle Grips (iffy QC and poor CS)...of course, that was *after* I placed the order. When I got the confirmation email, it said the wait for...

    Glenrock Bluing

Had anyone used this outfit? Glenrock Blue I am looking to reblue a recent production M27, possibly a matte bead-blast finish. Or should I just send it to S&W? Thanks.

S&W factory trigger job vs. DIY Wolff springs

I'm trying to decide if I should send my M27 to S&W PC for their combat trigger job--or just buy Wolff springs from Brownells and DIY install. I've heard that the PC installs Wolff springs for their trigger job, plus they do stoning...but will stoning result in a *significantly* better trigger...

Model 27 Classic - grip removal help!

This is a Model 27, new production "Classics" series. The grip retention screw comes out easily, but the grips themselves are wedged on TIGHT. I tried *lightly* prying them with a flat head screwdriver--they moved a bit, but it seems a lot more pressure is needed. Yikes! I am afraid of damaging...
