    Thought I might pick up a K-32

I agree with ar15ed...I couldn't get up the nerve either. When the bid was still under $700, I sent a message to the seller asking for some clear pictures and to confirm if it was really a .32 since I couldn't read the barrel markings. Never got a reply, so didn't bother bidding.

    22/32 Heavy Target DOB question

Here's the other side. Dave..thanks for information and help in dating this gun. Are you then saying that this style of grip would have been special order after 1917, or would the target grips have been special order after 1917?

    22/32 Heavy Target DOB question

I need to learn to take better pictures, the gun looks better than this. It was supposedly unfired and appears to be. However, won't be for long (standard velocity only, I know). It does have the 1917 date on the bottom of the grip. These grips fits so precisely, I almost couldn't get them...

    22/32 Heavy Target DOB question

I recently acquired a 22/32 heavy frame target, serial 361xxx. It has the 32 regulation police style walnut grips with no medallion. They are pencil numbered inside matching the gun. The right side of the frame is NOT stamped 'Made in USA'. I understand that S&W didn't use medallions during...

    Are these factory grips?

Thanks everyone. I'm not sure why a 'collector' would modify grips on a gun they kept unfired. I kinda like them this way, but would have preferred they be original. Whoever did it, sure did a nice job with the finishing.

Bamabiker....I don't think so. Here are 3 more with the same grips: Cabela's -- Gun Details Cabela's -- Gun Details Cabela's -- Gun Details

    Are these factory grips?

These grips are from a model 27-2 made in 1977. Instead of being flat on the bottom, they are somewhat rounded. The gun is unfired (except for factory) and the grips do not appear to have been refinished. However, I cannot find any mention of such grips anywhere. Has anyone seen grips like...

    22/32 Hand Ejector sights question

H Richard, so you're saying that all 22/32 HE's were 'target' models? You're probably correct, in that none of my reference material refers to a fixed sight configuration. But I saw a (poor) picture of what appears to be one and was trying to identify it. Nothing else seems to fit...

    22/32 Hand Ejector sights question

Were 22/32 HE's ever made with non-adjustable sights (fixed rear and half moon front sight)? Serial number in the 52x,xxx range. TIA.

    K frame snub .22

chad, thanks for confirming what I suspected. I was just thinking that a nickel 2 inch model 10 in .22 would be a lot of fun to shoot. J frames just don't feel right to me.
