Two other deer have fallen to handguns( 66 S&W) while hunting over the years but this one is the first for the 629 S&W.

This was the first gun I ever fired. This was grandpa's gun. It's also the first gun my daughter fired too. Not sure how old it is. He died in 1976. I've owned it since the early 80s. Make you wonder what all its shot?
Meat for the table, foxes in the chicken house and tin cans.
I've picked up 1450 rounds of 22lr this month at Walmart. CCI and Remington. Just need be there at the right times I guess. No not early mornings for me I work. A couple of times in the evening.
We have been buying a 1/4 of a cow from a good friend of ours for years. My brother-law raises hogs, so we get a half of one of those of him. I also took 2 deer last year. So we are set for meat. So yes I know where mine comes from too. Good to know. 🐖🐂
I do have other calibers. 30-06, 223, 30-30,12ga,20ga and muzzlerloaders in 50 and 54. Just listed handguns. Thanks for all your thoughts. Sorry about not having a 45. 🔫
Thinking about narrowing my calibers down. I have 357, 38spl, 9mm and 40s&w. Thinking about trading off the only 40 I have (23glock) and ammo. I reload the others and not the 40. Will most likely pick up another 9mm. Perhaps a 938 sig or other CCW.
