    Thanks for all of the quick, positive responses. I'll sort through them again and plan my strategy. I do believe in overthinking the round!!! A miscreant at 7-10 yards with Hollow point rounds should do the trick!

    There are adapters available that allow you to use 17 rd mags in the Compact 9. I got mine from Amazon.com

    Rebate mystery Just joined the forum so I apologize for this. I bought an M7P Compact .22 and sent in the rebate and never heard anything back. I was unable to find out if the rebate was for .22 or not so I am not surprised that I haven't gotten anything back from S&W. Still a nice pistol.

    Rebate good for Compact .22 Bought a Compact .22 and sent in the rebate info. BUT does it qualify? Supposedly, one gets 2 boxes of Hornady ammo and a mag loader. Hornady doesn't make .22 ammo as much as I could see on various sites so I am not holding my breath waiting? Anyone else feel this...
