S&W Model 60-1 .38Spl. Chiefs Special Target 2" stainless. These guns were Ashland Shooting Sports exclusive models. One of 660 ever produced for the distributor in the mid-80's. The gun is in very nice condition and mechanically excellent. It has the "shark fin" front sight and adjustable rear...
This one appears to have a nickel/hard chrome receiver. Picture of a fox on one side and a pheasant on the other. The barrels look to be soldered together. The stock and forend are checkered. Has the barrel selector button on the lower right side of the receiver. Bore in both barrels are in...
I recently acquired a early Savage Model 24C-DL combination gun.
The upper barrel is .22 WMR and the lower barrel is .410 Ga. 3".
The research I have conducted has only turned up this model chambered in .22WMR/.22 LR & .20 Ga. Anyone care to elaborate on this oddity? It is pre-serial number...
Picked her up and re-installed the period correct stocks. It is a really nice example. First one I have ever seen for sale locally and I have owned and handled quite a few S&W's. Just doesn't seem to be very many around, especially for sale. Now I need to find a model 50 to keep it company.
I found this 60-1 Chiefs Special Target Model today. Gun is in excellent condition. Never seen one of these around my neck of the woods. Was a pleasant surprise in a local pawn shop. Has the ALU serial prefix. SN# ALU12xx
When utilizing GB for relevant pricing, make sure you view completed listing for a more accurate selling price. Current items vary wildly in "asking" prices or "buy it now" prices. I look at the amount of bids and the "hammer" price. Lots and I mean lots of current listings end with zero bids...
Recently acquired this Victory Lend-Lease with incorrect grips. Found the period correct grips at the Myrtle Beach show and restored her to glory. Flaming bomb & U.S. Property G.H.D. on top strap. Bavaria Municipal Police on the lower left side. Mechanically excellent. Shoots great too might I...
Just from recent observations both in person and online all of those are desirable guns. The condition and factory boxes, papers and etc. increase the desirability.
Model 60 $600-700
Model 66 $700-1,000
Model 18-3 $700-1,000
Granted this is just an estimated range and opinion. I think they...
Well, Mr. Jinks confirmed the .45 H.E. Model 1917 was shipped February 1918. She is over 104 years old. Amazing that it still functions perfectly. The craftsmanship on these old revolvers is second to none. If only it could talk. Good bit of honest wear and character. May have very well saw...
I still cruise the gunshow for entertainment. The guns I search for are already scarce. The sea of polymer is a drag. But every now and then I find some good stuff. I went to the Myrtle Beach show yesterday. I picked up a set of nice magnas, victory grips and square butt grips. I have found some...
Well, I would like to say with firm footing that the "shows" around Wilmington, NC have changed in the way of having older Colt's or S&W's. I just had a stroke of luck to happen upon some real wood and steel. I definitely hunt hard for the things of old. It's the thrill of the hunt that keeps me...
Found three old six shooters today fumbling around the local gunshow.
