    J-frame grip solution

    Replaced the Bantam Grip on my S&W 642 several years ago with a Hogue, Model 1711024, Molded Rubber. Simple install and a great feeling of control. Have been running 50 rounds a week through mine for the past 6 - 7 years.

    BEST Concealed Carry Revolver

    Carried a S&W 642 for 6 - 7 years. Lightweight, 38+P round & concealed Hammer are ideal for CC. Speed-loaders are inconvenient to carry. Switched to compact, 1911 a couple of years ago simply because of convenience of magazines.

    1911 Disassembly Issue - Help

    Went back to it Sunday afternoon. Was able to slip a blade on a jackknife type Feeler Gage under the Thumb Safety. With a lot of jiggling, it finally came free. Never experienced that problem before. The Feeler Gage went into my case of cleaning supplies for next time.
