    No conceal carry allowed

I carry despite the posted sign. I carry everywhere except those places that have a metal detector - state and federal courthouses, etc. Places that I've carried include the local magistrate, post office, county offices, school, bars, nightclubs, hospitals, doctors' offices, etc. They clearly...

Please Post Photo of Pocket Carry

Can someone please post a few photos of pocket carry. I just don't believe this is a viable way to conceal a revolver. I won't believe it until I see it.

What Are The Essential Features for a Personal Defense Revolver?

This topic should be interesting! IMHO your basic PD revolver only needs: 1. Crisp, smooth trigger @ 9 to 12 lb. 2. Good sights 3. Grips that allow for proper trigger control It is assumed that the average revolver is accurate and reliable enough for Personal Defense straight...

    S&W Revolvers for Lefties

Dave Lauck produces left-hand S & W revolver conversions (Custom Revolvers - 1st thumbnail 1st row). He is a true master craftsman - his work is exceptional - but it will cost you. The competition left-handed revolver pictured costs $2,750+. A complete personal defense/close-quarters battle...

VOTE: What Do You Think Of This Revolver - Good, Bad, or Ugly?

Definitely a NO LOCK revolver as it was manufactured before S & W introduced this dubious safety feature.

    Best 45 ACP revolver model?

Of all the .45 ACP revolvers I've owned, the best overall has been, without a doubt, the Performance Center Model 325 Thunder Ranch. It's pointability, handling and accuracy are excellent - if not exceptional. I can state without hesitation that it is superb straight out-of-the-box revolver...

DAO and Bobbed Hammers - What's the deal?

Double Action Only (DAO) A. Liability concerns - reduced liability B. Easier manual-of-arms C. Consistency of trigger pull Bobbed hammer is to reduce the possibility that the hammer will snag on clothing when being drawn.

VOTE - Should A CCW/Personal Defense Revolver have Night Sights?

I'm really suprised that a higher percentage of enthusiats don't think tritium night sights are an absolute necessity. It seems to hover around (2/3) 66.6% of those that respond to poll.

VOTE: Ultimate Concealed Carry/Personal Defense Revolver

Outlined below are arguably the best Personal Defense options maximized for reliability. For examples, see Smith and Wesson K, L, and N Frame Sights but with bobbed hammer. Also on this website is a blued example here Custom Revolvers - 1st thumbnail 2nd row. My chosen mode of carry is...

VOTE - Should A CCW/Personal Defense Revolver have Night Sights?

Night Sights = tritium inserts that emit due to radioactive decay; need no "recharge"

VOTE - Should A CCW/Personal Defense Revolver have Night Sights?

You're Right teufelhunden, I think you are right. However, I've found that night sights have helped me in night time exercises so theoretically they should be of benefit - however slight. If anything they give me a "visual" in the deepest of dark.

VOTE: If S&W offered, then would you buy this revolver? Would it be popular?

Outlined below is my ideal Concealed Carry/Personal Defense revolver - arguably the best PD options maximzed for reliability. To my knowledge S & W has come close, but never offered such a revolver. My chosen mode of carry is on-the-belt or ankle (on rare occasion pocket). Caliber(s)...
