When I bought this it was supposed to be new, but it has a scuff on the barrel, and one below the latch, and one of the screws looks like someone opened it (see pictures). And, I moved without the box. Selling cause I cannot imagine shooting a 357 out of this without destroying my hands.

Hi, This is probably a common question, but my search gave me 9000 hits, none immediately relevant. I have several model 37's, and just purchased a used cylinder. It fits both the 37 no-dash and the 37-2, Seems to cycle fine in the 37 no dash, but will not allow the hammer all the way back...

The foreign cone surface does not look like smooth stainless (like on my 686). I would not thing aluminum could survive. But much of this is alloys of scandium, so I don't know. RZ

Sorry to resurrect this - perhaps it has been addressed elsewhere - what would most of you think about a model 60 with stainless trigger and hammer that the owner wants as a shooter - ?it wouild seem dangerous to wait for a problem with single action? Richard
