    Bob, you are correct, by the way, I think that "nice guy" was a Smith and Wesson sales rep! Whatever he was, that trip to the range caused me to set up my reloading stuff, join the local gun club, and start shooting again. Never thought a .44 would feel anemic.

    Great responses, guys. Al, I have read your range reports with great interest, but I have to ask: can't I get that same accuracy, and almost that velocity with the .500? I see load data with speeds of 1800-1900 fps, didn't seem as much of a difference as I expected?
