    New 627 Pro Pics

a recessed crown is usually used to protect the end of the barrel rifleing. If you nick the front of a barrel on the rifleing, it can really screw up accuracy. (something tells me I misspelled rifleing)

looking for a starting load .38special

I am going to try and get my hands on some 231 or clays. I just have a couple pounds of HS-6 so I wanted to come up with a decent load using those components. I looked back and found in some of the manuals (seirra was one of them) that they used magnum primers with HS-6. I am going to load some...

looking for a starting load .38special

I am looking for a light target load for my Model 19. I have 125 grain berry fp, cci small pistol mag primer, and either HS-6 or Autocomp. I havent seen a load using that combo. I have used the 125gr bullets, 6.5grains of HS-6 and regular small pistol primers. I am just not sure how much, or...

    686 ssr??

I have been looking at both the 686ssr and the 627pro. You mentioned above that if you compete to get the 686ssr instead of the 627. Being a relatively new addict to SW, I dont understand????? Why the 686ssr over the 627??? Thanks RJ

    What a Blast

I am not really sure what kind of league it is. We shoot 8 targets a night and each target get 12 rounds. The only thing that kinda levels the field is that you can only load 6 rounds at a time, so everyone has to reload once. Each target is different. It might be all 12 rounds at 50' in 30...

    What a Blast

So I decided to shoot in a tournament this fall, and I decided to use my Mod 19. The first night was last Wed and I was the only one to shoot a wheelgun. The only two division are centerfire and rimfire. So far (one night of shooting) and i am in the middle of the pack. I learned one thing for...

    Types of Grips

The magna's look like what is on my model 19. I like the combat style, they look like they would fill your hand better.

    Types of Grips

I am pretty new to the revolver world and often hear of different types of grips, boot style, combat, target, coke bottle (I think). Could someone help me out and post up pics of the different types. I have been looking for new ones for my 642 and my Model 19 (sb). thanks RJ

    Grips for a 642

The recoils was certainly an issue. I shouldn't have been surprized but went I let loose with a couple 38+p's it was really hard to maintain a grip. I have seen a couple threads where folks have mentioned that they want grips that dont cover the backstrap or go above it. What is the advantage to...

    Grips for a 642

Well, I picked up a 642 last week and got to shoot it over the weekend. I had a hard time with the stock grips keeping it from rocking up in my hand. I would have to regrip it for each shot. I was wondering if anyone has recomendations for other grips that would help. I am going to be using it...
