Letter designation on S&W revolvers

I just picked up a Model 25-2 and plan to cast 185 gr. SWC bullets.
I have read that the cylinder bore on some of these guns was excessive.
Should I size the bullets to .452 or .454? Any help would be appreciated.

I am going back tomorrow with a magnet. I am inclined to believe it is an early 38 Hand Ejector. The reason the pawn shop dealer listed it as a 12-3 is because the crane # is 0123. this along with the serial number could be an old gun, but I doubt that is factory nickel. Thanks...
