I've owned several 686s since they were introduced, carried a 686 on duty for some years, etc. . They have provided the reliable, durable and accurate service you asked about. I still enjoy the 686s.

Riposte, That 158 BB; Wow! I haven't tried the BB 158, but the BB 180 grain has always done the advertised 1400 fps or so in my 4" and 5" revolvers. The underwood 180 also does the advertised 1400 FPS in my guns...

I've had a 3913 for years. I carried it as a second weapon at work, and as a CCW after retirement. Mine feeds any and all the factory ammo I've used. I just clean and lube now and then. A few years ago; had a malfunction and discovered the the factory magazine springs were pretty weak...

The MR73 looks like a revolver the French would design. If the 586 and MR73 were the same price, I'd still buy the 586....
