What do y'all think of using an adapter to mount a "real" red dot without milling the slide? I suppose it would sit up higher...

Not yet. It's still on my radar, but my enthusiasm has dwindled a little. Maybe I'll give it a try when I'm itching to buy a new toy.

CB3, thanks for your thoughts. I agree that it probably won't work as a true "ghost ring." My only prior experience with red dots is on rifles. I just mount the gun, and a dot magically appears on my target. I don't have to think about it or look for it. I hope to someday be good enough...

I'm considering getting aftermarket sights for my M&P®9 M2.0™ 4" COMPACT. Do I have to buy sights made specifically for the M&P, or is the cut in the slide "compatible" with some common standard? (I know just enough to know that I need to ask the question.) Thanks for the help!

Have you tried other locations? 2:00 with a neutral cant works for me. Of course, everyone is different.

I had a similar problem with my LCP II. I fixed it with extra power magazine springs from Wolff. Galloway sells springs for your BG380 mags - but try shooting it first!

It's not necessary, but it's also not hard to do. I just reach in with my pinky finger and flip it down with my fingernail.

Get some snap caps (I like the A-Zoom brand) and periodically mix one in with your live ammo. It's very easy to see your "flinch" when you really expected the gun to go bang but got a click instead. Knowing you're doing it is the first step to correcting it.

Yes, you can load snap caps into a magazine, just like "real" ammo, and practice loading the gun. However, the gun won't cycle on its own like with live ammo - but you can yank the slide back yourself to eject the cap and load the next one. (Or just pull it back far enough to reset the striker...

I sometimes carry my LCP in an UnderTech "Original Belly Band." The LCP is small enough that I can tuck the tip of the pinky extension (on the magazine) into the belly band pocket, keeping the whole gun tight against me. I wear it very low (inside the waistband) at 2 o'clock, and it conceals...

300 rounds in an hour is only one shot every 12 seconds (on average).

If it's the metal trigger, be prepared to use a vice to squeeze that pin into the trigger. I hear the plastic trigger is much easier to work with.
