My Dad was also a Deputy Sherriff in the 70's and had to buy his own firearm. He bought a Colt Python .357. I will have that one in my possession soon.

Not really sure. He passed in 1973 when I was 13 years old. I have a picture of him in his uniform with that weapon on his side. I assume he bought it refurbished. I used to shoot it with my dad when I was a teen.
