New (to me) 15-4 - What does the W.L.E.A. mean?

On my S&W 15-4 on the left side of the frame I have: "W.L.E.A." - Can anyone tell me what that stands for? I think it is some law enforcement entity, but I don't know which. Here is a Pic: Any help will be appreciated much! RonJon

Another minor issue with SW22 Victory

The main (larger) screw has a circular cutout every 90 degrees around it. You can get close enough to the torque you want within 1/4 turn before you screw in the lock (smaller) screw.

Another minor issue with SW22 Victory

German's have solved this for more than a century: Well, Smith & Wesson could learn to do it the way the German's have solved this for more than a century: These are called locking or capture screws. RonJon

The extractor from my Victory has left the range!

S&WIowegan - I had the same problem a few years ago with my S&W M&P15-22 (AR15 style rifle): The .22 round apparently did not go completely into battery but the firing pin still hit the primer. My son was firing it and from what he could see there was no feel that this was happening - UNTIL the...

New SW22 Victory 22LR target pistol?

Strange that I did NOT get a fired case envelope included with mine. I bought it from Scheels stock that was from the stock room and was supposedly an unopened box. The date code on the box label is 111815, which I interpret to mean November 18, 2015 as the ship date. BTW - Ruger no...

New SW22 Victory 22LR target pistol?

I'm wondering: Since you removed the mag disconnecter, how well does your SW22 eject the magazine when you press the mag release? I just ask because I was inspecting the mag disconnect mechanism and I think that it looks like the spring on that mechanism does another job in helping to propel...

    SW22 Victory not ejecting

First, before sending it in, inspect your SW22's ejector which has 3 spot welds that fasten it to the bolt shroud (the housing that surrounds the bolt and also holds the rear sight). It might just be slightly bent so that it doesn't eject the fired case reliably. If not, THEN send it to S&W. Ron

New SW22 Victory 22LR target pistol?

Torque spec in inch pounds for the barrel screw? I have ordered a Wheeler Engineering torque screwdriver (It is due to arrive tomorrow). I have shown a picture in this forum of the SW22 Victory that I bought last Sunday. But I have not had a chance to fire it yet. Does anyone have...

    M&P 22Compact Sights

Yes, I had that happen on mine last Saturday on the first time out shooting it (just purchased it that same morning) - We shot maybe 100-150 rounds and then I saw the rear sight blade fly away! We looked for it and after awhile my wife found it, so we packed up and brought it home. Here is...
