Been Bitten By the Bug- Where Do I Start?

Models 57, 29 (shooting special), 21, 25 would be on my wish list for your caliber choices in 4". Out of your options I would probably look at the 25 in 45 LC. With the cowboy SA shooters out there, that round is probably a little easier to get ahold of than 44spl or 41 mag?

Been Bitten By the Bug- Where Do I Start?

You can find lots of mint or near mint S&W's in the date range of this thread for $500 to $1000. I would decide what barrel size you want to start with first. 4", snub, etc. Do you want big bore or 38/357? I started off with a 4" model 19 357 but quickly developed a love for S&W snubs and...

    Model 36

I think you'll be very pleased with it after a refinish. I would then find a fancy wood grip for it, as well, but that's just me.

    My First Model 10

Nice condition item! The K frame is IMO the perfect size revolver frame.

I need a lightweight "woods gun" and all-purpose gun...

I was thinking model 60 as well. 3" barrel. Keep in mind there are milder 357 loads out there nowadays. Rem Golden Saber for example out of a gun this size is not bad at all and packs some decent heat.

To do or not to do...?

I'm considering running some 125gr Rem JHPs through my near mint but lightly fired 4" model 19. Then, I've heard of the forcing cone business. I've also heard that this was primarily a rare problem "back in the day" when this load was hotter. So, basically, not sure if I should do it or not...

    Need 40 Cal Info Please

I would choose an M&P over any listed without question.

    M&P or Glock

I have never been too thrilled with the Glock 23 grip. The only thing that ever helped with me was a hogue rubber slip on, which made all the difference in the world. Still, while the Glock grip is fine and it works, it doesn't feel as natural as some more modern designs out there from other...

Impulse Buy, M&P 9, Bad Decision?

I've been considering buying an M&P. What is this "tool" we're talking about?

Casings from M&P 9 flying in my face!!

Lots of semis do this. They send casings all over the place. It has nothing to do with a particular model or brand.

    LAPD 45 School

If anybody has a brand new M&P they want to send me for free, I'll take it. PM me.

I'm about to tell you about the best 38+p targeting revolver I've ever shot...

I have a 4" model 19. I do use 38 for targeting in it, but it achieves better accuracy with a higher performance bullet, especially the Rem Golden Saber in 357 mag. The 4" model 19 is very nice looking with a near mint blue finish, and it performs great. I will tell you though that the 4"...

I'm about to tell you about the best 38+p targeting revolver I've ever shot...

I liked the +P win supreme elite out of it. I've used win supreme elite in 38+p and 40 S&W and always been very pleased with low recoil, low flash, great accuracy and reliability. Ballistics and terminal behavior are supposed to be good with this ammo line too.

I'm about to tell you about the best 38+p targeting revolver I've ever shot...

Ready? Current production model 67 4" 38+p from Smith and Wesson. The factory uncle mike's rubber grips are tremendous for this gun. The factory red ramp is great. The smoothness of the action lives up to the S&W rep. The targeting is so good with this thing with a high quality 38+p hollow point...
