barrel hangout Thanks all for your info. Picture shows what a 5" bbl would look like in a 4-1/2" holster. I just might go with that.

    holster for 5" victory

I have a nice old victory model 38s&w with 5" barrel but having trouble finding a period-correct shoulder holster. All I see are for 4" barrels (which Mr. Jinks says were not common?). A few pictures show about 1/2" protruding from the bottom. If that's as good as it gets I will buy one. Any...

Thanks for the great leads! I see one for a victory model also that I need. Repros are fine. I spent my budget on the guns.

    Big gun trade

I traded a post 64 model 94 in 30-30 for a pre64 in 32winspl. He had boys and other 30-30s and wanted to avoid cartridge mixup. The 32wnispl serial # is just under the 2 million mark making it just before the 1964 changes. It stays!

Found Pre 21, lots of questions, pic heavy

Thanks for the info. I have a set! I think they came on the pre-29 4-screw bought at a gun show a few years back. I replaced them with a set of Herrets made for my hand. Glad I kept them.

info on "Cokes" please New member here. I keep seeing references to "Coke" stocks and they being worth around $ 400 per set. They look like some I have on a couple of my smiths. Just what are they and why so loved and valued?

    Charles Greenblatt Co.

Was glad to see info about Greenblat Co. My pre-29 44magnum was shipped to them July 30, 1957 per Jinks letter. I assumed that was the end of story. How cool to find so much here. Now I want to know who gold plated several components (trigger, hammer, latch, crane)
