    New format.

I don't care much for change in forum layouts like this. I know it doesn't bother most. And I don't care for receiving unsolicited emails either so it looks like I'm done here. Take care.

I hope whoever does the job does a great job for you. A chrome 4: M-28 would look great!!

I know we are talking two different guns here, this was my brother's BUG that he carried in an ankle holster for a lot of years. If you were to carry yours in a similar manner maybe black is the way to go.

That looks more like a 3.5" barrel to me. Correct me if I'm wrong. This was my pre-27 3.5" shipped 8/15/55. My ex's birthdate.

This M-640-1 .357 Magnum was the first handgun I ever bought. I bought it back in 2008 from my brother for $400. It was un-fired since leaving the factor back on 4/12/95 Its a very early M-640-1. It was my EDC until he retired from LE and gave my his BUG, a M-642-1. If I carry it these days...

    new to me 5" S prefix 27-2

I just have one 5" M-27-2 shipped Sept 4th, 1975. I've had it now for about 8 years and I've never fired it.

    66-1 Purchase

Very nice. At one time I had a nice 4" M-19-2. I don't know what I was thinking but I sold it. :( I've always ben partial to .357 Magnums myself. This was my brother's duty weapon for the first 10 years he was an LEO. This is how it came to me, just as it was when he carried it...

It was the LAST damned shot that ruined a good target!

For me it was the first round. This was the first time I ever fired my M-58. The target was 100 ft away. I have no idea where the first round went but I was happy with the next five. :)

    45 Shield, 2.0 or not?

Thank you again. My best friend has an early one without the 2.0 and I want to share the info with him. Kenny

    Couple 28's

I've put more .357 Mag rounds (the only round I've ever put thru it) than all the rounds combined true all my other guns.

Thought hard about it, but passed

My best friend has never really been interested in handguns until about two years ago. I could live off the money he spends on them now. LOL

I had this 6" M-57 that I thought was a very nice M-57 and sold it. I did however keep my M-58. There's just something about it that I really like.
